Mirena brings in-depth experience creating and leading the execution of marketing and communication programs for organizations at the intersection of health care and technology and is leading the expansion of ReviveHealth’s service offering for technology-inspired health care companies.

For the past six years, Mirena managed The CONTeXO Group, a business and marketing consultancy focused on serving clients in the health space. Prior to that, Mirena was a senior vice president at Weber Shandwick in its technology practice. In her 15 years at the agency, she collaborated with emerging and enterprise companies to conceive and execute strategic marketing and PR programs that heightened corporate and product profiles in both mainstream and health care markets.

As an associate course director at the “Enabling Technology Innovation in Healthcare and the Life Sciences” course within the Harvard Medical School/MIT program on Health and Science Technologies, Mirena co-develops the curriculum focused on the use of technology as an enabler for innovations in health care, including mobile health (mhealth), motivation tools, self-care, population health, disease management, diagnostic testing, and other areas helping to increase the quality of care.

Passionate about innovation in entrepreneurship circles, Mirena has been elected to the board of directors of The Capital Network, a community for entrepreneurs and investors focused on guiding entrepreneurs to the funding stage, and is a member of the steering committee of the MIT Enterprise Forum, Healthcare and Life Sciences SIG.

Mirena served as strategic counsel to such health care companies and organizations as: Delphi Medical Systems Corporation, the Healthcare Unbound Conference, Institute for Healthcare Improvement, i-STAT (Abbott), iGetBetter.com, Mass. Health Data Consortium, Mass. Health Quality Council, Partners HealthCare/Center for Connected Health, MedicVOD, Beth Israel Deaconess/Center for Clinical Informatics, Concordant Rater Systems, Palomar Medical Technologies, and Veritas Health Solutions.

In addition, Mirena has worked with professional services companies such as CSC Consulting, Giga Information Group (now Forrester), IDC Financial Insights, and Tiax, as well as large corporations (including Avaya, 3Com, Moore Corporation, Lotus Development and SAS Institute) and non-profit organizations and startups (such as the Boys Club of Boston and the Foundation for Art & Healing, BungeeLabs, BizLand, Body Shop Digital and Incentive Targeting).

Mirena holds a bachelor’s degree in international trade and marketing from the University of Zagreb, Croatia, and has completed a strategic business leadership program at Columbia University.

Mirena lives in Boston with her husband and three children with whom she skis in the Northeast and surfs in the Adriatic. She enjoys creating musical harmonies with her singing friends, though she discovered that her coworkers in Santa Barbara and Nashville might not be as enthusiastic about it.
